Ralph Choufani

Ralph has two decades of ETS and FTS expertise cultivated across the Northern European ecosystem, where he and Joseph have frequently collaborated, establishing a basis for their longstanding friendship. Ralph joins Aspirity from Abry Partners, a US mid-market private equity firm focusing on communication, media, information and business services, where he was a Partner focused on European investments for all Abry funds.

Joseph O’Mara is the founder and Managing Partner of Aspirity. He brings over two decades of successful investment experience, most recently at Vitruvian Partners and previously at Friedman Fleischer & Lowe (now “FFL Partners” or “FFL”). This experience has shaped Aspirity’s investment approach of systematically identifying “second derivative” opportunities within its target sectors, capturing the inherent strong secular growth of the underlying market while also benefitting from high knowledge barriers that limit competition.

Joseph O’Mara

Filippo brings over 15 years of experience across private equity and investment banking. He was most recently a Director at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where he led direct investments across EMEA. His background at J.P. Morgan and his deep expertise in equity investing will support Aspirity’s strategic initiatives and deal execution.

Martin has eight years of transatlantic investment, operational and entrepreneurial experience. Martin joins Aspirity from VALOREO, an L Catterton backed e-commerce business which he successfully co-founded, led as CEO (including oversight of investment function) and subsequently exited to Razor, after which he joined Razor’s management team16. In addition to his entrepreneurial success, Martin brings private equity experience from Hellman & Friedman (“H&F”), a transatlantic private equity firm where he was focused on technology investments. Prior to H&F, Martin was at Cevian Capital.

He has held CFO roles at Anthemis Group, Leon Capital, and BC Capital, with a strong focus on compliance, reporting, and operational leadership. Patrick’s expertise will be instrumental in scaling Aspirity’s financial infrastructure and governance

Shahrazad’s experience across private equity, climate innovation, and regulatory frameworks will guide Aspirity’s responsible investment approach.
